We were heading to Euphorics Ground and Droeloe was behind the deck.Vincent Rooijers and Hein Hamers entertained the crowd with Trap tracks and made the crowd jumped all the time. Especially when their song "Jump" was played.
After Droeloe, Alan Walker took the stage. His presence made audience came to the main venue. Beside playing his own hits, he surprised us by playing "Great Spirit" by Armin Van Buuren and Vini Vici. Song that not his main genre. Alan Walker's performance also great.
After watching Alan Walker, we moved to Underworld Area. In that area, DNSW and Sixteen were entertaining audience with Techno and Progressive tracks. Then we returned back to Euphorics Ground to watch San Holo. Once again, the crowd danced enthusiastically.
Back to Underworld Area, Seb Zito already behind the deck. Tracks played by Seb Zito hypnotized the audience to keep dancing. We decided to stay to watch Shonky. Euphorics Ground already filled with crowd who wants to watch Martin Garrix and Andrew Rayel.
For the concept, INVASION this year is very carnival experience. Euphorics Ground stage decorated with giant pictures depicts the attractions you will find in western carnivals. Very contrast with Underworld Area, which is very simple. In terms of venue arrangement, we prefer last year's arrangement.
Underworld Area was located outside Hall B. We were confused in the beginning, where were the area. We found it accidentally when we want to go to toilet outside Hall B. Curious, we rounded the venue to search any sign to Underworld Area. We only found 2 signs, located near entrance gate and near outdoor toilet. Inside Hall B we didn't found any signs indicated way to Underworld Area. We confirmed this also to several audience who also confused looking this area.
The atmosphere at Underworld Area was more like private rave party because the number of the audience was under 100 people. Probably because the weather was hot that night, so the crowd chose to stay indoor. With only 4 big fans for area that big, of course it wasn't enough to make the heat go away.
Overall, INVASION 2017 was fun. Hope in the next edition, can be more fun and offers surprises concept. See you at INVASION 2018!
