It’s so hard to find an event that gives us the atmosphere of underground party. We know there is people who wants to experience the feel the atmosphere once again. There is also people who wants to know how underground party feels like for the first time. That’s why State Of Play hold an event called Underground Resistance. The event itself was hold on 5 November 2016 at Exodus Club. State of Play (SOP) is known as a label that consistently stay true to their underground roots. When their talents play, whether Progressive, Techno or even Trance, you will notice how they keep the underground spirit in every set. They spread the spirit on a full scale during Underground Resistance. The night was opened by SOP talent, FRK, with her Progressive set. FRK prepared tracks that suits the atmosphere. We can say, FRK prepared the crowd for night full of Underground spirit. After FRK, it was Adyt’s turn to warm up the crowd. He played Trance tracks that made the crowd excited. MC Jovie also made the crowd excited with the next performances. The performances after Adyt were Syndromatic, Tim Bourne, and Aiu Kandi. Consecutively, they played Trance sets that made the crowd dance. Syndromatic gave his signature Trance set. While Tim Bourne took the crowd on a journey with his own Trance track. Aiu Kandi dropped tracks with a little bit Progressive Trance influence and made the crowd sang with her. The last two acts were Adebro and duo Myga. As usual, Adebro played some classic Trance tracks and made the crowd felt a little bit nostalgic. While Myga as closing act, didn’t hold back either with their set. The duo dropped some Psy Trance and kept the crowd’s energy in high level.
It’s very rare to attend an event with underground atmosphere in Jakarta. Almost every club offers Trance or R&B night every week. That’s why we always want to feel an event with underground atmosphere and cross genre music. We thought Underground Resistance delivered the purpose. We’re so excited for next venture from SOP.
